slightly jumbled thoughts

I know there must be a better and easier way to add my favorite blogs but you will see what I read when I don't have my nose in a book , my fingers grinding out pages and knitting up a storm.

The last day of February

Well it's a Sunday Morning here in Camden and I'm laid up on the couch. Not fun when I have a ton of things to do...
I have been knitting a ton, working on my afghan and Joe's hat. My afghan is being done in Noro Kureyon in a beautiful array of self striping blues, purples and greens. I plan on using different shades of Noro for this afghan. It will only be a lap blanket.
With all my knitting I have found that there is a world of other knitters who also blog who also write books. This brings all my favorite things together :-)
I've also noticed that these other knitters love there pets. I see a fair share of cats out there. There is one knitter over in Rockland who had cards printed up with her cat playing with her yarn and in some shots tangling himself up royally . My cats would love to be able to do that but I keep my big basket covered so they(the four of them) and the two dogs stay out of it. I have come home from work in the past and found some yarn or a finished hat on the floor and the guilty party looking really sorry... well maybe.
My writing will start up tomorrow full force. I have been on a break of sorts and now it's driving me crazy. So I will divide my time once the boys are gone to school to write and then blog, knit and read.
So that's it for random thoughts. They are random and going through my brain faster then I can catch them. I think me has had too much tea this morning.

knitting

It's a bright clear day here in Camden. I'm inside cozy and warm with my beloved pets. Mowgli (my big Black Lab)hasn't strayed very far from my feet and the cats take turns sleeping next to me. Lucy my Australian Cattle Dog is out like a light. I've been reading and knitting this morning. Not much writing. I am taking the week off to just kinda regroup since I stopped working.I am also tearing through the house, well tearing through is probably not a good term since I am really going through it at a fast snail's pace but I am getting things done that I wouldn't normally get done if I was working.
I am also knitting a lot more. Working on my son Ian's hat and have a pair of socks that I have to get the heels started. Like anything else if you want to be a good knitter you have to knit. I took a class this last Saturday with three other ladies to learn Portuguese Knitting. I am practicing that each day to become better at that. It really is easier, if I can just become faster...
I love to write and in order to write you have to be a reader. I normally don't read the same genre that I am writing. It takes practice, practice, practice. the same with knitting. I have finished hats and with each one am getting better. My dear husband wears one of my hats. I am now thinking up future projects just like future books that I want to work on.
Well on to more house work and errands...
